Greenstar provides a broad range of recycling services and material reprocessing for both local authorities and the private sector for a wide range of materials including cardboard, paper, plastic, steel, aluminium cans, and glass through our network of facilities throughout the UK.
Lancashire
The site’s strategic location enables it to process recyclables collected from over 185,000 households. Commingled collections from up to 19 local authorities pass through our fully automated dual stream facility which sorts and processes plastic, glass and metal cans, and bulks paper and cardboard.

Lincolnshire
We offer a cost-effective quality processing of recyclables collected by local authorities as well as commercial customers, Skegness handles commingled materials – primarily paper, plastics, steel and aluminium containers.

Yorkshire
The west Yorkshire facility mainly recovers and recycles pre and post consumer paper and cardboard products, but also handles around 20,000 tonnes of commingled plastics, steel and aluminium cans. The site provides waste collection and recycling services for the region’s industrial and commercial sector.

Teeside
The Redcar site is one of the most advanced plastics processing facilities in Europe, thanks to ongoing investment in advanced technology. This means all types and grades of plastic can be sorted, cleaned, processed and compounded for local, European and international markets. This includes converting waste HDPE plastics into foodgrade material for milk bottles, food trays and cosmetics bottles – a world first.

Bedfordshire
The Dunstable materials recycling facility handles around 50,000 tonnes of of waste and recyclable materials annually, sourced from commercial and industrial customers. Its annual recycling output is around 15,000 tonnes of paper, card, glass, timber, plastic and steel, and it also operates a 5,000 tonne pa capacity aluminium can recycling centre.

West Midlands
Aldridge is Britain’s largest materials recycling facility, and one of the biggest in Europe. This impressive plant has a processing capacity of up to 300,000 tonnes annually. Use of the latest technology and processing equipment means Aldridge can accept commingled and segregated recyclables sourced from local authorities and commercial customers, and process them to high quality standards.
