Greenstar Supply Chain

The supplier relationship between Greenstar and the subcontractor is long term and extremely close as the contractors join the Greenstar network as “preferred suppliers”.

Greenstar utilises hundreds of operational depots around the UK in order to carry out its contracts. These belong to the wide range of designated national, regional and local waste management and recycling contractors who are part of the Greenstar operational network.

The supplier relationship between Greenstar and the subcontractor is long term and extremely close as the contractors join the Greenstar network as “preferred suppliers”.

All preferred suppliers are audited for environmental legislation compliance such as duty of care, carrier’s certification, and registered disposal facilities and operators licences. Greenstar and its sister company Greenstar Ireland, control waste contracts in the region of £100m per year in the waste management and recycling markets. This ensures that our customers receive competitive prices and unparalleled service.

Greenstar will manage a range of collection services throughout our client’s portfolio of sites, including:

  • General Waste Collections (Trade Waste & Mobile Compaction Services)
  • Building & Construction (Large Open Containers & Skips)
  • Hazardous Waste Collections
  • Liquid Waste & Tanker Services
  • Confidential Waste Services & Office Recycling
  • "One Off" requirements

The Greenstar model utilises specialist sub-contractors throughout the UK (over 800).  Greenstar’s buying power enables us to secure very competitive prices and unrivalled service levels from our sub-contractors.

The management of these sub-contractors is one of the core competencies at Greenstar and our partners operate in the full knowledge that they will be replaced if performance levels are below our high standards.

The Greenstar model also gives us the flexibility to use the most appropriate contractor, container, method of disposal and landfill/reprocessing site for the customer and waste in question.
