Initially formed in 2001 [as Materials Recovery Ltd], Greenstar is part of the NTR group, and is today the largest recycling-led waste management service provider in the UK and Ireland, with a growing presence in the US. Greenstar aims to set a new industry standard by offering a complete range of cost-effective waste management and compliance services.

Greenstar services
Greenstar offer a wide range of services, from complete waste management solutions, through to accredited dry recycling, reprocessing and exporting facilities. Greenstar’s Recycle 1st scheme is one of the largest fully-approved compliance schemes in the UK. Greenstar also advises clients on best practice in relation to recycling and waste minimisation, as well as providing a range of education and awareness services. Greenstar offers a complete WEEE compliance service for manufacturers, retailers/resellers and importers.

In 2007, Greenstar acquired the Verdant Group, a UK leader in the municipal waste collection market since 2003. The synergies between Verdant and Greenstar establishes Greenstar in a unique position to compete in the municipal market.
