Everyone helps to create waste every day. Waste is made at school and at home, but also at other places where people work, live or travel. Some examples are waste from factories, offices or shops.
Each year a huge amount of household waste or waste from your home is produced. However, we have not always thrown away as much as we do at present. In the past, when there was less money and fewer things to buy, people used to repair things that got broken and reused whatever they could over and over again.
