Greenstar UK Acquires Largest Independent Waste Management Company in West Yorkshire
15th October 2007: Greenstar UK, one of the leading recycling led waste management companys in the UK, announces the acquisition of M & B Waste Management, the largest independent recycling and waste management operator in Leeds/Bradford and West Yorkshire
M & B Haulage and Waste Paper Company, which employs 70 people, predominately recovers and recycles pre and post consumer paper and cardboard products, while also operating a waste collection and recycling service to the Industrial and Commercial sector.

This acquisition cements our commitment and complements the recent announcements of investment in our Greenstar (WES) specialist plastic recycling plant in Redcar, the new Aldridge Material Recycling Facility (MRF) in Birmingham, and our acquisitions of RU Recycling and Wastelink in 2006. Nearly 10 million tonnes of packaging waste are produced in the UK each year. Our objective is to minimise our reliance on landfill by recycling as much of this waste as possible, on a cost efficient basis for our customers.
