Greenstar provides services to manage the collection, recycling and reprocessing of a wide range of waste streams including the following:
Kerbside Recyclables
Greenstar recycles a broad range of mixed kerbside recyclables or ‘co-mingled materials’ including mixed cans, plastics, paper and glass mixes.
Paper/Cardboard
Greenstar sorts and bales a wide variety of paper and fibre materials.
Plastic
Greenstar sorts and reprocesses a wide variety of plastics including those from domestic and commercial/industrial waste streams. Our facilities in the UK have the ability to process the following:
- Domestic plastic bottles
- Domestic plastic containers
- Wide range of plastic packaging films and bags
- Wide range of rigid plastic and engineering grade plastics.
Metals
Greenstar sorts and reprocesses a wide variety of metals including, but not limited to:
- Mixed aluminium and steel cans from domestic waste streams
- All grades of aluminium
- All grades of steel
Glass
Greenstar sorts and reprocesses a wide variety of glass including, but not limited to:
- Mixed glass including ‘ co-mingled’ domestic waste streams
- Mixed coloured glass
- Segregated glass
Closing the Loop
Greenstar’s Lincolnshire facility is one of two specialised plants in the UK, that harnesses advanced filter screen technology, which enables us to close the loop on supermarket films in the UK. Greenstar has the ability to produce refuse bags from waste plastic films.
